Notes & Thoughts
I lost all these songs in a hard drive crash. I never thought I would hear them again. Then I regained control of my bandcamp account and this album full of demos was saved as a draft! Rescued!
I renamed it "Rescued Songs" and put it up. These were all ideas I was working out back in 2011 (this is being written in 2026). "This Dirty House" features my friend (and roommate at the time, I think) Romie Romak on vocals and me playing a borrowed cello like an upright bass.
"Greentown" is based on a short story I was working on, but owes a lot to my love of Ray Bradbury's writing. "October" also owes a debt to Mr. Bradbury and was recorded on a toy Casio keyboard running through some effects pedals and a little aplifier. "Song for LHF" was recorded shortly after my grandfather died; I had been really sad to have lost this one, and am glad to have it back. "Rocket", as it says, is a demo that never managed to me anything more... but I didn't want to lose it, so there it is.
